Stewardship - Giving Matters

Giving, Growing, Grounded

Who is a steward?
Stewardship should be more than just material and money matters. Stewardship describes the basic orientation of life as a gift of God. Christians are called to serve the world through their unique gifts given to us all by God that extend beyond the boundaries of race, gender or wealth. Wise and generous use of these gifts is a way of learning how to live as servants of Christ and “stewards of the mysteries of God”. (1 Corinthians 4:1)

How can God call you to give?
Stewardship is a personal as well as communal practice. At Pintlala Baptist Church there are countless opportunities in which stewardship may work itself into your life.
·       Teaching
·       Volunteering for ministries and mission projects
·       Being a role model
·       Tithing
·       Special gifts
·       Presence at Sunday School and Worship
·       Growth in faithfulness and spiritual practices.
This sampling of stewardship opportunities reflects a basic attitude of Christian stewardship – the care and nurture of our life together..the partnership with others who share a longing for God.

What will happen?
When you contribute your time, talent and resources, ministry happens. As you discover your gifts and affirm the gifts of others, God will be present in all we do. Because of individual giving, we are able to do far more together than any of us can do alone. To affirm and share in PBC’s ministry is to encourage one another to be generous. To be generous is to be a steward for the sake of Christ (2 Corinthians 8:9).
