Volunteers are a vital part of the ministries at PBC.
Most of the time you don't even know they are up there. However if they were not at their post you would certainly be aware something was very wrong.
When we moved into the new sanctuary in 1993 we realized that sound would be a major component of the worship service. It was then that several volunteers were asked to operate the large sound board with all of its knobs and buttons. Tony Fischer was one of the first to learn and supervise the microphones and monitors. He has worked diligently over the years to make every word understood and every musician sound their best. He is assisted by Eric McGuire and Kevin Worthington in the sound booth high above the pews in the rear of the sanctuary. Turn around and wave "thank you" next time you have a chance -- but please, not during preaching.
